Four versions

Commented in the previous post how shocking it is read in another language. It is not at least see the different styles of each publisher (and, of course, each illustrator) when facing the same book cover.

From left to right and top to bottom: the Spanish edition, Portuguese, Turkish and Polish Sherlock Holmes and the wisdom of the dead. Four illustrations of four different countries for the same story.

  1. I've always liked the Spanish front pages of your Holmes, but I must say that the Portuguese is also very attractive. And Polish, very Polish (in a good way).

  2. I also think that the Spanish are very coolest Cover, but has caught my attention ... poruguesa that at first glance seems most clasicota ... And then you see a tentacle around, and yes, it's funny that wink ...

  3. The Portuguese version has (not only on the cover, but in the interior design, with a title page for each story that makes the book) a certain retro-pulp, the truth is that cool enough.

One of these days it is idle to see if you scan the title page of each story and leave them here.

  4. Yes, I too share in Portuguese Cover.

  5. At first glance, the one I like is Spanish, followed by the Portuguese. It has a retro that is appreciated, it is true.
Of the other two, little or nothing to say.

    Greetings
